Engel’s Model of Spiritual Development

Years ago, James Engel created a scale which shows a person’s journey from ‘no knowledge of God’ to ‘spiritual maturity as a Christian believer.’  A person’s journey changes when the person experiences new birth in Jesus.  But getting there requires passing through eight steps along the journey.
