TCL (T2:1-3) Culture Defined 72 Ways

Culture Defined 72 Ways

Many years ago, a list of 72 things which make cultures different was created.  It included everyday items like food, clothing, art, transportation, recreation, family traditions, religious ceremonies, education, celebrations, and money.  There were also non-physical items on the list, including spiritual beliefs, moral and ethical values, customs, traditions, language, idioms, and the ideas of law and justice.

Each culture will have a unique mix of these physical and non-physical elements.  While some elements are shared by many cultures, some elements are specific to only one culture.  For example, the wearing of kilts is known to be part of the Scottish culture, as well as eating haggis and yearly village gatherings called ceilidhs.
