The Buyer’s Journey
The Buyer’s Journey concept is helpful in understanding what motivates people to make decisions. It says that people go through three stages in their mind before acting:
– Awareness stage: This involves knowing and understanding what is being offered.
– Consideration stage: This is about seriously considering the benefits of accepting the offer.
– Decision stage: Finally, people will make a decision to take action and respond to the offer.
The new media approach provides multiple options for viewers to respond. Messages can be targeted to different audiences and have different action steps for each. The options can include each of the Buyer’s Journey stages, with the hopes that the different appeals will lead to responses for each audience.
