TCL (T1:4-4) Reasons to Revise your Content
Reasons to Revise your Content
Sometimes social media posts work well, but sometimes they do not. Having data that identifies the better options is only helpful if changes are made to the content of the posts before they are distributed.
Here are two important reasons for taking time to revise the content of the media campaign.
- Revisions move content from good to great: While perfection might be a helpful goal, it is rarely possible. But it is wise to find the problems in your plans before launching the full campaign. Testing the content will show you possible problems or audience struggles that may have been missed in the early planning. And testing can also show whether the posts are reaching the targeted audience.
- Even revisions may need to be revised: Revision is part of the repeated process of the digital engagement journey. It is a good practice to test each new version of the campaign to make sure the content is reaching the goals you defined in the beginning. If not, the team may need to look back at the goals and change them, or they might need to think back through the persona being targeted before moving forward. Frequent revision is part of the process that must continue for future improvement.
This graphic shows that data from the CRM can be used to make revisions to all parts of the media campaign.
